Let Your Heart Shout…

Springtime is always a fantastic season for Photography. Everything bursts out, Light reinforces vivid colours. I can spend hours in the fields, chasing for a « Light Instant », some kind of combination of Intense Shadows and Deep Colors. The blooming trees are communicating violence of Spring. Our mission, as Photographers, is to convey this sap through our images and emphasize what we perceive because photo gear is not able to anything but facts, micro-electricity levels and Photosites charges. We have to impulse some kind of Poetry and oneiric Mood. Sure, the stuff has to be « in the Box », I mean, the materials itself has to be captured properly and that is where technical skills are required, but it’s not enough to get an emotional response, you have to let your Heart shout… Embrace data and feelings in the same package and mix them together by way of interpretation. Actually you have to reveal yourself in the pictures you make, including both WHAT you choose to photograph and HOW you choose to photograph it.

Every photograph you make reveals something about yourself. The way you compose, the way you expose, the way you focus are as many clues on WHO you are… Our pictures are part of our Photographer’s life story. They also are one way of telling it. Each Photograph I make claims : Here I am…

Photography is much more than capturing souvenirs, It’s a fantastic way to know about oneself, a trip in our « Inside » and a racy way to open one’s heart…

Pre-digested creative approaches are our worst ennemies. For sure, these preconceptions of the « Best Supposed Way to See This Type Of Landscape » are not there at random ! They certainly are the ones most appreciated by the vast majority of us… But does this means there is no other way to see what is in front of your lenses ? And… Are we supposed to serve this this « vast majority ? »…
